Job Summary

Lundy Manor seeks a skilled Recreation Director to oversee the planning, organization, and direction of recreational programs and activities within the Home. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a monthly recreation calendar that meets the diverse needs of residents
  2. Design and lead group activities that promote socialization, engagement, and well-being
  3. Manage the recreation budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources
  4. Schedule venues and organize equipment for events and activities
  5. Build and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure seamless communication and collaboration

Requirements

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in senior care and dementia care
  2. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  3. Knowledge of nursing home or assisted living facility operations and regulations
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  5. First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
