Job Summary

Woodmore Nurseries Inc is seeking a skilled Greenhouse Worker to join our team. As a Greenhouse Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of our plants, ensuring they receive the necessary care and attention to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the greenhouse environment, including equipment and work areas.
  • Harvest and transplant seedlings, cuttings, and bulbs, and apply fertilizers as needed.
  • Monitor and control pests and diseases, using insecticides and fungicides as required.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens, ensuring optimal growth and development.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
Work Environment

The Greenhouse Worker will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The Greenhouse Worker will work 37.5 hours per week, with a permanent work term. The work language is English.
