Job Title: Greenhouse Worker

Woodmore Nurseries Inc is seeking a skilled Greenhouse Worker to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and physically fit individual to work in our greenhouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of our plants, ensuring they receive the necessary care and attention to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the greenhouse environment, including equipment and tools.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens, ensuring they receive the right amount of moisture and nutrients.
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings, and plant bulbs and seeds in a controlled environment.
  • Monitor and control pests and diseases, using integrated pest management techniques.
  • Assist with harvesting seedlings and other crops, and prepare them for sale or distribution.
  • Perform other related tasks as required to maintain the greenhouse and ensure the success of our crops.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a greenhouse or horticultural setting an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy objects.
  • Physical stamina to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced greenhouse environment, with a focus on maintaining the health and well-being of our plants. The work will be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy objects and work in a variety of weather conditions.
