Senior Claims Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Representative to join our team at Definity. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, managing complex claims, and ensuring that all claims are promptly and fully investigated.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Service: Provide prompt, courteous, accurate, and fair claims service to all customers, internal and external.
- Claim Management: Manage complex and/or commercial auto claims, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to resolve the claim efficiently and effectively.
- Communication: Fully explain the claim process to all customers in a way that is easy for them to understand, and interpret and apply policy wordings to determine appropriate coverage under a customer's policy.
- Investigation: Ensure that all claims are promptly and fully investigated, collaborating with fraud investigators when necessary.
- Resolution: Work with the customer, broker, and preferred vendors to determine the best way to resolve the claim, and process claims payments within your authority level.
- File Management: Maintain detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience handling automobile physical damage claims of moderately complex to complex in nature.
- Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of claims processes and procedures, including experience in both tort and DCPD provinces.
- Skills: Strong analytical and decision-making skills, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Education: Preferably, a University degree in any discipline or a college diploma or the CIP designation.
