We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Municipal Engineer to join our Water team at Stantec Consulting International Ltd. This role will be based in our Toronto, London, Stoney Creek, or Waterloo office locations, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in municipal conveyance design, including watermain, storm, and sanitary sewer projects. They will work alongside a Project Manager and/or Senior Engineer/Designer as a key member of the project team, developing municipal conveyance designs for clients in the GTA and Southwestern Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform civil conveyance design for watermain, storm, and sanitary sewer projects, from preliminary design to detailed design, tendering, and construction inspection.
- Prepare engineering calculations, design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Conduct calculations, prepare proposals, and technical reports, and assist the project manager or lead engineer.
- Take responsibility for managing project deliverables and schedule with project technical leads and the project manager.
- Coordinate with construction activities, providing guidance and clarification of the design during construction.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Engineering Intern, Professional Engineer, or Certified Engineering Technologist registered in Ontario.
- Minimum of 5 years of municipal conveyance design experience, including related co-op or internship work experience.
