Job Title: Community Infrastructure/Municipal Engineering Graduate

About the Role:
AECOM is seeking a talented and motivated Community Infrastructure/Municipal Engineering Graduate to join our team in Kitchener. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects primarily within the municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support projects including sewer and watermain design, roadway and intersection improvements, site servicing design, and potable water pumping, transmission, storage, and distribution systems.
  • Perform contract administration duties, including contractor interaction, progress payment certificates, and convening progress site meetings.
  • Communicate and work with other project team members to provide quality service to clients on projects of varying scope and complexity.
  • Support new business development and liaise with other departments and offices in the provision of design services to other clients.
  • Perform financial and budget control duties on projects and respond to contractor and public inquiries.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or other related field or equivalent.
  • E.I.T. working towards a P.Eng designation in Ontario.
  • Design experience in surface grading, water and sewer pipe networks, and detail design.
  • Experience in stormwater management procedures and design, transportation design/reconstruction projects, land use planning, and land development or site plan preparation and studies.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation, software for modeling water transmission/distribution systems, water and wastewater treatment systems, and certification such as PMP or related.
