Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at the Waterloo Region District School Board. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the school administration, ensuring the smooth operation of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the school administration, including telephone and reception duties.
  • Maintain and update the Aspen student information system.
  • Assist students and staff as required.
  • Perform other duties as required, including attendance, budget, newsletter, report cards, ordering of supplies, video/kit requests, and mail distribution.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the administrative team of the school.
  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma required.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in a Windows computer environment required.
  • Experience with K212 and G-Suite required.
  • Experience using the Aspen Student Information System and applying this knowledge to record keeping and maintaining data integrity required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with students, teachers, and the public.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Knowledge and ability to assist managing School Budget.
  • Experience with new report cards on the web an asset.
