Overview

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Director to lead our insurance sales team in Hamilton. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing market management and driving sales growth through effective leadership and coaching of our team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of our insurance stores and ensure a client-first culture is reinforced among team members.
  • Represent RBC Insurance in the community, identifying new business opportunities and increasing the likelihood of client referrals.
  • Contribute to and lead market sales plan results, adjusting team sales and client activities to achieve or exceed overall market plans.
  • Accountable for driving team sales success through regular sales routines and ongoing coaching activities targeted at developing team sales capability.
  • Accountable for retaining and recruiting talent and maintaining an ongoing pipeline of candidates.
  • Apply Performance Management through regular reviews, joint sales calls, sales routines, ongoing coaching discussions of the PMD, performance enablement, assessment, and development plans.
  • Ensure sales force capability through building necessary skills, competencies, and accreditations to meet market needs, including knowledge of RBC partners for referral success.
  • Takes the initiative to stay informed of current events, market news, and internal information on applicable internal sites.

Requirements

  • LLQP (Life Insurance License)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Proven people management skills, sales leadership, and sales management experience
  • Progressive industry and general business experience with a focus on multi-line insurance in a sales capacity
  • Superior selling and sales management skills
  • Entrepreneurial/business developer mindset
  • Superior time management and organizational abilities
  • Strong people management skills; able to assemble and manage a new team of people
  • Must be flexible to work fluctuating schedules

The expected salary range for this position is $90,000-$129,999, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions, and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC's robust discretionary bonus program, which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
