About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Jellybean Park Playcare Inc. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support educators in maintaining accurate records and submitting written observations on children.
  • Guide and assist children in developing good habits, such as eating, dressing, and using the toilet.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a childcare setting or equivalent.
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and reliability.
