Radiological Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the ALARA principle and be able to apply it in a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Effective communication and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety in the workplace are essential qualities for this role.
Travel to other sites may be required, and the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision is necessary. A graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology and Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification are required. Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure is also necessary.
We welcome applications from individuals with previous experience in Diagnostic Imaging and those who are qualified to work in more than one modality. Basic Life Support Certification and the ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties are also essential.
About You- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Previous experience is an asset
- Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, while working independently and under minimal supervision
- Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
- Demonstrates initiative, organizational and prioritizing skills; and the demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams
- Comprehension of the technical language in order to be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
- Approximately 18 months
- Shift work and call required, evenings, nights, and weekends
$30.83 - $37.54 hourly
