Radiological Imaging Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority seeks a highly skilled Radiological Technologist to join their team. Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, this individual will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological/accessory equipment with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities include performing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures requiring the use of ionizing radiation, applying the ALARA principle, and maintaining a culture of safety in the workplace.
Effective communication in a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary environment is essential.
Additional requirements include a graduate degree from an accredited School of Radiological Technology, Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification, and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure.
- Able to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, working independently, and under minimal supervision.
- Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position.
- Demonstrates initiative, organizational, and prioritizing skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams.
This is a long assignment full-time position, 75 hours biweekly, approximately 12 months.
Shift work and call required, evenings, nights, and weekends.
Compensation and Incentives$30.83 - $37.54 hourly.
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
Successful candidates may also be eligible for a signing bonus or relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
