Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

At ASANDHU ENTERPRISES INC., we are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all sales and customer service goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign sales workers to duties and supervise their performance
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage the store's finances
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the store is always well-stocked
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently

Requirements:

  • Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and staff
  • Organized and able to multitask to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances

Experience:

  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail environment
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 30 to 40 hours per week
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication
