About the Job
Job Summary:

The First Cook plays a key role in executing daily dinner service with support from the culinary team. Working with Culinary leadership, the First Cook prepares feature proteins required for dinner service, ensuring quality standards are met.



  • Prepare meals according to client scheduling and within menu plan and budget guidelines.
  • Prepare adequate quantities of menu choices by following production quotas set.
  • Coordinate all kitchen staff involved in meal preparation and serving.
  • Follow proper storage and rotation of food supplies.

Responsibilities:

Handle, prepare, produce and timely serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in accordance with approved methods and standards.


Key Qualifications:

  • Previous cooking experience required.
  • Current Food Safe certificate required.
  • Large scale camp cooking experience an asset.
  • Red Seal or other certifications an asset.
  • Experience in accurately producing weekly inventories an asset.
  • Previous experience in supervising a team preferred.
  • Maintain high standards in a clean and organized Kitchen environment.

Estimated salary range: $44,000 - $54,000 per year.
