Psychiatrist, Traumatic Stress Injury and Concurrent Program Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team as a Traumatic Stress Injury and Concurrent Program Specialist. Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical psychiatric care to patients with complex and comorbid disorders, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering evidence-based treatment programs, including Cognitive Processing Therapy and other psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Develop and implement best practice standards of clinical care, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and a safe and supportive treatment environment.
- Collaborate with referral sources, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
- Participate in hospital committees, medical staff meetings, and quality assurance activities to contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor students, residents, and other healthcare professionals to promote professional growth and development.
- Specialist certification in psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPS) or equivalent body acceptable to the RCPS (C) and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- 3 years' physician experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in diagnosis and management of concurrent substance use disorders.
- Strong leadership and executive presence, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think and act with strategic and tactical agility, with a proven track record of leading strategic and operational changes.
- Experience with Cognitive Processing Therapy is an asset.
