About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Specialist to join our team in Thompson, Manitoba. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing screening, intake, assessments, and referral services for children and youth in care. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing therapeutic plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans that prioritize the well-being and safety of youth and families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
- Provide on-going consultation and support to staff and caregivers to enhance their skills and knowledge in trauma-informed care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and coordination.
- Participate in multi-system meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in youth support services.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Human Services or Social Work.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a social work or human services setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Manitoba Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
- First Aid/CPR Level C certificate and De-escalation training.
