About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Workstation Performance Engineer to join our team at Lenovo. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing the performance of our ThinkStation and ThinkPad P-series workstation products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and review benchmark results to identify performance issues related to hardware, thermal, power, and/or software/driver/firmware issues
  • Develop and execute performance test plans to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve performance-related issues and improve overall product quality
  • Test and verify the performance of new products, including CPU, memory, GPU, and storage components
  • Document and present performance data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders, including sales teams and customers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in computer design, performance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating systems, including Windows and Linux
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in coding, including Python, Java, or other relevant programming languages
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts
  • Experience with simulation applications, such as Comsol, Ansys, or Fluent
  • Understanding of workstation software applications and workflows
