Job Title: Clinical Nurse Educator

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for assessing competencies, designing learning plans, and supporting professional development activities for nurses working in various roles throughout Nunavut. This position promotes equitable healthcare services by ensuring high clinical standards are met by nurses delivering those services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess competencies and design learning plans for nurses
  • Support professional development activities and coordinate education and training sessions
  • Promote culturally safe nursing practice and continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with the nursing education team to increase patient satisfaction and public confidence in the healthcare system
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent, plus three years of experience in a nursing role, including at least one year of experience in training in an adult learning setting. You must be eligible to register with RNANTNU and have a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
