Leading Hardware Designer

Octasic Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Designer to join our team in Montreal. As a hardware designer, you will be responsible for all steps of electronic circuit development, including architecture, schematics, layout, validation, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Participate in new hardware designs from concept to mass production.
- Gather and identify component level requirements.
- Develop embedded and electronic designs using schematic capture.
- Oversee PCB layout and ensure proper component placement, shielding, and thermal dissipation.
- Participate in system bring-up and debugging.
- Write and execute low-level software tests to validate hardware design.
- SUPPORT product introduction to manufacturing.
- Maintain existing designs and mitigate production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in digital and analog circuit development.
- Experience with complex high-speed electronic circuit design.
- Good oral and written English skills for communication with our multi-site teams. Oral French is required for good communication with our Montreal team.
- Strong debugging skills using oscilloscope, autonomous, and rigorous.
