About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Design Engineer to join our dynamic R&D team in Montreal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-end hardware solutions for next-generation telecommunications networks deployed worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop your hardware architecture skills by conducting feasibility studies, defining systems, requirements, and design specifications.
  • Improve your project management skills by collaborating on project plans, conducting risk assessments, and participating in milestone meetings to report progress, risks, issues, or blockers.
  • Become a technology expert by staying up-to-date with the latest developments in components, process design and manufacturing limits, and cutting-edge solutions. Guide teams to make informed technology decisions to design new hardware solutions that surpass the competition.
  • Enhance your signal integrity and power supply knowledge by working on high-speed interfaces, high-power distribution systems, and high-density systems. Define layout guidelines to meet SI/PI and synchronization requirements.
  • Improve your system design skills by leading, supervising, and optimizing a multidisciplinary hardware development process (electrical, optical, mechanical, thermal, certification, manufacturing).
  • Act as a guardian to ensure the quality level of all hardware deliverables. Organize, lead, and facilitate hardware design reviews with all interested teams.
  • Be a leader in defining test plans for bring-up, integration, and system validation to meet requirements, specifications, and standards.
  • Mastery certification product requirements, stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory standards, define test certification plans, develop reflexes to design certifiable products, perform pre-conformity testing, take ownership of the final certification phase, and accompany agencies.
  • Be a key contributor to provide high-quality support to other departments within the organization (manufacturing, clients, etc.). Investigate complex problems, provide root cause analysis (RCA), and propose solutions.
  • In summary, you will become a key player within the hardware team to define and develop high-end solutions that will be used in next-generation telecommunications networks deployed worldwide

You will work closely with local and external teams, primarily responsible for developing network solutions, from initial requirements to production readiness.
