Estate Planning Specialist

As an Estate & Trust Consultant with Scotiabank, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional estate planning services to High Net Worth clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating personalized estate plans, identifying opportunities for wealth growth, and building strong relationships with clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Scotiabank advisors to provide estate planning solutions, ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and centres of influence, driving business growth and development.
- Contribute to the effective functioning of the team by coaching, mentoring, and facilitating open communication.
- Champion a customer-focused culture, leveraging Scotiabank's resources to deepen client relationships and drive business success.
- Ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls, meeting obligations related to operational, compliance, and conduct risk.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken & written) and experience working with Asian clientele (an asset).
- Background and experience in estate, trust, or financial planning, with a minimum of 3 years of wealth planning experience.
- In-depth knowledge of wealth and estate planning strategies, including insurance, tax, family, and charity law, and business succession.
- University degree in law (an asset) or a lawyer/notary with experience in wills and estate planning (an asset).
- Membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) or Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation (an asset).
