About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Scotiabank's team as an Estate Planning Specialist. As a key member of our Wealth Management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality estate planning services to our High Net Worth (HNW) clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and centres of influence to drive business growth and expand our network.
  • Estate Planning Services: Provide expert advice on estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, and tax planning, to meet the complex needs of our HNW clients.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand our estate planning services to existing and new clients.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Wealth Management team to ensure seamless delivery of estate planning services and contribute to a culture of open communication and collaboration.
  • Risk Management: Ensure that all actions and behaviors align with Scotiabank's values and policies, and that we maintain a high level of operational and compliance risk management.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in estate planning and wealth management to continuously improve our services and expertise.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in law or a related field (an asset)
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in estate planning, trust, or financial planning, with a focus on HNW clients and their advisors
  • Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) and experience working with Asian clientele (an asset)
  • Professional Designations: Membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation (an asset)
