Verve Senior Living is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Life Enrichment Assistant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents by planning and implementing engaging programs that promote physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and direct activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, families, and the community to promote participation in programs and ensure resident needs are met.
- Lead and promote resident awareness and participation in leisure, social, and recreation programs.
- Assist in maintaining department records, including attendance, assessments, and evaluations of planned programs.
- Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Manager to develop and implement programs that align with our residence's vision and values.
- Minimum of grade 12 education required.
- Prior experience in recreation programming for a senior population is preferred.
- Diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in the field of Recreation, Physical Education, and/or Gerontology is considered an asset.
- Class 5 operator's license, clean driving record, and 2 years passenger driving experience is preferred.
- Certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR required.
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to handle database programs.
- A dynamic and supportive work environment.
