Job Description: Warehouse Manager

This critical role will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations while maintaining high productivity levels. As a key representative of the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety, this individual must be available for evening and weekend shifts and able to work fully onsite at our Markham warehouse.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, sorting, packing, and shipping.
  • Scheduling and training the workforce efficiently.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations.
  • Leading and managing warehouse projects, including PMO project management efforts, to ensure timely delivery, within scope, and within budget.
  • Achieving all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including productivity, PPH (Pieces Per Hour), UPH (Units Per Hour), and cost per unit.
  • Maintaining quality assurance by meeting all quality metrics.
  • Managing inventory control, planning, and cycle counts.
  • Managing departmental Profit and Loss (P&L) and controlling costs.
  • Developing and mentoring warehouse teams to maximize their contributions.
  • Supporting strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Performing data analysis to improve productivity and cost efficiency.
  • Implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) principles to reduce errors and defects.
  • Understanding end-to-end supply chain processes and utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), and other tools to manage daily operations.
  • Planning daily labor needs, including 3PL and temporary labor.
