Warehouse Manager Position Summary

We seek a skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining productivity levels. This role will demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

This position requires availability for evening and weekend shifts, as well as the ability to work fully onsite at our Markham warehouse.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, sorting, packing, and shipping.
  • Schedule and train the workforce efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and health regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Lead and manage warehouse projects, including project management efforts, to ensure timely delivery within budget.
  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, PPH (Pieces Per Hour), UPH (Units Per Hour), and cost per unit.
  • Maintain quality assurance by meeting quality metrics.
  • Manage inventory control, planning, and cycle counts to minimize stock discrepancies.
  • Manage departmental profit and loss (P&L) and control costs to optimize resource allocation.
  • Develop and mentor warehouse teams to enhance their contributions to the organization.
  • Support strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Analyze data to improve productivity and cost efficiency.
  • Implement Total Quality Management (TQM) principles to reduce errors and defects.
  • Understand end-to-end supply chain processes and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) to manage day-to-day operations.
  • Plan daily labor needs, including third-party logistics (3PL) and temporary labor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in logistics management, business management, or a related field would be an asset.
  2. Over 8 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management, including 2+ years of leadership experience and 5+ years of experience in working with 3PL.
  3. Experience in health and safety management is a mandatory requirement.
  4. Highly motivated, energetic, and capable of addressing issues with a strong sense of urgency.
  5. Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate work.
  6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to report and recommend solutions to challenges.
  7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
About the Role

This Warehouse Manager role offers a competitive salary of approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
