Job Summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the construction of ICI projects from start to finish. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities on site, ensuring the project runs smoothly, and delivering a high-quality finished product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Job Site Coordination: Manage day-to-day activities on site, ensuring the project runs smoothly from start to finish.
  • Subtrade/Supplier Management: Manage construction subtrades and suppliers on the job site, mitigating issues that may arise during a project.
  • Project Management Interface: Work in partnership with the Project Management team to deliver a high-quality finished product, managing the schedule and budget.
  • Client Interface: Meet with architects, consultants, and/or clients to manage project issues and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Project Documentation: Use Microsoft and other web-based software to manage labour, materials, and equipment, cost coding, expense submittals, field reports, schedules, meeting minutes, request for changes, etc.
  • Budget Management: Continuously monitor and manage project budget, minimizing project costs through inventive methods and regular financial reporting to management.
  • Ensure Compliance to Work Safe BC Regulations: Ensure compliance to Work Safe BC regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience in a superintendent role overseeing ICI projects from start to finish.
  • Eligible to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
  • A strong grasp of current construction practices, including familiarity with construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of safety programs and procedures in BC and how to ensure they are followed on site at all times.
  • Adequate computer skills to communicate with all project stakeholders.
  • Experience using project management software is an asset.
