Job Title: Mine Industrial Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Industrial Electrician to join our team at CGC Inc. in Hagersville, Ontario. As a Mine Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for conducting daily operations, troubleshooting and repairing electrical distribution equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution equipment and heavy mobile equipment.
  • Maintain, test, and repair AC/DC motors and motor control systems.
  • Interpret readings taken from electrical testing equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
  • Read and interrupt wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Maintain a high standard for housekeeping within the work area.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Electrician or Graduate of the Electrical Engineering Technician - Power Program who is willing to participate in an apprenticeship program and obtain an electrical certification.
  • Must be capable of working in a mine setting in a safe manner and following all safety rules and practices.
  • Possess fundamental knowledge of AC and DC power systems and controls.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented team player.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with co-workers in areas of safety, quality, and understands the importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements.
  • Must be able to work 10- or 12-hour rotating shifts.
