We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Kingston Veterinary Clinic.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to animals, including diagnosing diseases, treating injuries, and advising clients on animal care and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries in animals through physical examinations and laboratory tests
- Prescribe medication, set bones, and perform surgery as needed
- Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases
- Advise clients on animal care, including feeding, housing, and behavior
- Enforce government regulations related to animal health and food production
- Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations
- Degree in veterinary medicine or a related field
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make sound judgments
