Job Summary

SOUTH WEST BULK EXPRESS INC. is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our heavy-duty equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ordering and Inventory Management: You will be responsible for ordering parts and maintaining inventory levels to ensure that our equipment is properly stocked and ready for use.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on our heavy-duty equipment, including adjusting and repairing defective parts, attaching components, and cleaning and lubricating equipment.
  • Heavy Truck Repair: You will be responsible for performing repair work on our heavy trucks, including verifying and repairing emission control systems.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands: This role requires a physically demanding work environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. You must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: We are looking for a candidate who is accurate, flexible, and able to work in a team environment. You must be able to communicate effectively and work independently.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week
