Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at SOUTH WEST BULK EXPRESS INC. as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
  • Repair and Replacement: Diagnose and repair or replace defective parts, and adjust equipment to manufacturer specifications.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing downtime.
  • Quality Control: Verify and repair emission control systems, and perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Work Environment

The Heavy Duty Equipment Technician will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, requiring the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 35 hours per week.
