Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Develop and implement sales strategies to expand our current customer base and manage existing customer relationships, ensuring their sourcing needs are met with the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
- Conduct Sales Calls: Conduct a minimum of 5 face-to-face sales calls per day, educating customers about our products and services while building strong partnerships.
- Negotiate with Buyers: Negotiate with buyers and sourcing managers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms, aligning with our manufacturing capabilities and business objectives.
- Drive Business Growth: Leverage your sourcing experience to drive business growth, optimizing the supply chain to meet customer demands efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Ensure Quality Standards: Ensure the sourcing processes, timelines, and quality standards meet or exceed the needs of our customers, providing exceptional service and fostering long-term relationships.
- Use Marketing Data: Use marketing data and tools to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Merchandising, and Supply Planning, to streamline operations from sourcing to final delivery, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify Market Trends: Identify new market trends and sourcing opportunities to expand our product offerings and enhance our competitive edge.
- Mitigate Risks: Provide insights and strategies to mitigate risks and overcome challenges in the supply chain, ensuring reliable and consistent service to our customers.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, and other documentation.
- Attend Meetings and Seminars: Attend meetings and seminars to maintain and expand industry knowledge.
- Assist in Other Territories: Occasionally assist in other territories and additional duties as required by management.
- North American Undergraduate Degree: A North American undergraduate degree in a related field, such as Apparel or Textile Design, Merchandising.
- 10+ Years of Sales Experience: At least 10 years of North American experience in sales and apparel sourcing, with significant experience negotiating with buyers and sourcing managers.
- Proven Sourcing Experience: Over 10 years of proven experience in buying apparel and a thorough understanding of the fashion industry, including textiles and supply chain dynamics.
- Experience with Suppliers: Proven experience in working with suppliers in China, Bangladesh, and Vietnam.
- Marketing and Administration Skills: Strong skills in marketing, office administration, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Negotiation and Client Relationship Skills: Strong negotiation skills and a successful track record of managing client relationships, particularly in securing competitive pricing and terms.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Organizational and Prioritization Skills: Highly organized, with strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Driver's License and Travel: A valid driver's license and flexibility to travel as needed, with frequent travel expected.
- CRM and Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce and HubSpot, as well as Microsoft Office programs.
- Proactive and Adaptable: Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Sustainability and Ethical Practices: Passion for sustainability and ethical practices, with a commitment to upholding these values in all sourcing activities.
- Competitive Salary and Commission: A competitive base salary with a high commission structure, providing substantial earning potential. $110,000/year OTE, Capped at $200,000/year
