The Customer Services department of the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts is seeking highly motivated and proactive individuals to provide exceptional guest service. As a Front of House Attendant, you will be responsible for serving five venues, including the Chan Shun Concert Hall, Telus Studio Theatre, Royal Bank Cinema, Roy Barnett Recital Hall, and Old Auditorium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional guest service to patrons and clients
- Perform a variety of duties during performances and events, including ticket-taking, ushering, coat checking, bartending, and responding to patron needs
- Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Collaborate with the Front of House Captain/Bar Captain and other team members to ensure seamless event execution
- Adhere to Chan Centre policies and standards for guest service and event management
Requirements:
- High school graduation
- Minimum two years' experience in the performing arts or a related field
- Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 15kg and stand for long periods of time
- Level 1 First-Aid certification an asset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of the Serving It Right Servers certificate
- Theatre/Concert Hall experience
- Knowledge and experience in theatre or a related field
- Experience in high-volume establishments
