About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Manager to join our team at BIMINI NEIGHBOURHOOD PUB. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the bar, including managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring the bar runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Analyze and manage the bar's budget to ensure profitability
    • Develop and implement cost-saving measures to reduce expenses
    • Monitor and control cash flow to ensure accurate balance sheets and cash reports
  • Staff Management
    • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of bartenders and support staff
    • Develop and implement staff training programs to improve customer service and product knowledge
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels of all bar products and supplies
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and minimize inventory costs
    • Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize stockouts
  • Marketing and Promotion
    • Develop and implement marketing and promotion strategies to increase bar sales and revenue
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional campaigns
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and promotion strategies
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed and maintained at all times
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve health and safety standards
    • Monitor and control health and safety risks to ensure a safe working environment
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Participate in the development and implementation of business plans and strategies
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer service
    • Perform other duties as required by management
    Requirements
    • 5-10 years of experience in a bar management role
    • Proven track record of success in managing staff, finances, and customer service
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field an asset
