Job Summary:

The Bar Manager will be responsible for curating, developing, and managing the bar program, working closely with the Wine Director to create a unique and elevated beverage guest experience that aligns with the kitchen's food program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day bar operations, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and equipment maintenance.
  • Lead the front-of-house teams as an educator, inspirational leader, and responsible manager.
  • Design and implement creative, elevated custom cocktails, staying up-to-date on classic cocktail culture.
  • Deliver superior customer service through effective training and education.
  • Maximize resources and inventories by managing costs and maintaining inventory and budget.
  • Develop strong relationships with agents and distillers.
  • Drive positive results and align with business goals.
  • Initiate and execute special projects under the direction of the Restaurant Director.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience leading a premium beverage operation.
  • Holds a professional recognized wine and/or spirits certificate.
  • Related university degree or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience curating and managing inventory with fiscal responsibility and award-garnering intentions.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven ability to provide insightful industry-leading, best-in-class outcomes.
  • Highly committed to a premium level of quality.
  • Skilled at developing and creating beverage experiences that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze current business problems and implement recommended solutions.
  • Superior conflict resolution skills, with the ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, management, clientele, suppliers, and partners.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to handle conflicting deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable with dealing with media, public speaking, and VIP guests.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
