Bar Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Manager to join our team at Hob Fine Foods inc. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Ensure the bar area is clean and well-maintained, including the cleaning of glassware, draft beer systems, and storage areas.
- Inventory Management: Order and manage bar stock, including beverages and supplies, to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and train staff to ensure they are providing excellent customer service and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, including taking beverage orders, advising on wine selection, and making recommendations on drink selections.
- Financial Management: Collect cash, credit/debit card payments, and record and balance beverage sales.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience in a similar role is an asset.
- Work Setting: This role is based in a catering firm or restaurant environment.
- Supervision: You will be supervising 5-10 people.
- Security and Safety: You will require a basic security clearance and a criminal record check.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: You will be working in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and will be required to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: You will require excellent oral communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work as part of a team.
