The Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team as an Addiction Treatment Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our addiction treatment services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide accurate and timely medication distribution to patients, adhering to NAPRA Model Standards of Practice and OCP standards.
- Implement clinical activities under the direction of the Designated Manager, ensuring evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
- Develop and maintain a patient-focused environment, responding efficiently to referrals from CATC clinics and community partners.
- Provide health care information to patients, ensuring they follow CATC clinic and pharmacy guidelines for program participation.
- Participate in clinical and community initiatives to provide optimal patient care and position CATC as a first-class provider of addiction treatment services.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in the preparation of patient prescriptions, maintaining First Aid and CPR training up to date.
- Part A Pharmacist Registration with the OCP.
- CAMH Opioid Dependence Treatment Certification.
- Experience using Kroll Pharmacy Software is preferred.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Injection Certification.
- Demonstrated patient-centered pharmacy practice skills, leadership, and decision-making skills.
