Job Title: Truck Driver - Freight Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Freight Specialist to join our team at FREIGHT5. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Requirements:

  • AZ class license.
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).

Working Conditions:

  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Long hours, including overtime.
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods and relocate.
