About the Role:
The Distribution Department at Mackenzie Investments is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented District Sales Associate to provide administrative support to sales teams. Reporting to the Manager, District Sales Associates, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing territory operational support with a strong focus on attention to detail and time management, including territory calendar management, expense and budget management, events planning, and maintaining our CRM database.
- Creating and implementing a business plan in collaboration with the District Vice-President and Business Development Manager for the assigned territory.
- Facilitating weekly team meetings to implement business processes and ensure efficiency and consistency of territory management.
- Discovering and exploring new business opportunities through proactive sales calls with existing investment advisors and strengthening internal and external client relationships.
- Adhering to and applying internal compliance regulations and sales practices under NI for our clients as the team compliance coordinator.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bilingualism (English and Cantonese or Mandarin) is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Post-secondary qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Willingness to pursue new and creative ideas, motivation to achieve results, dedicated & energetic, strong communication skills – both verbal & written.
- An interest and curiosity in capital markets and how they relate to the fund industry.
- Ability to work well with multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Successful completion of a financial services industry program course (i.e. CSC, IFIC, CFA, CFP, CIM, etc) would be an asset but not required.
