About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Umai Sushi & Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and organized.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and customers.
  • Team Management: Recruit and hire staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our kitchen team.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
