Job Title: Corrosion Engineer

Corrpro Canada is seeking a skilled Corrosion Engineer to join our team. As a Corrosion Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and performing complex engineering duties for oil and gas, utilities, and public works projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review preliminary data, discuss objectives and expectations, and suggest appropriate engineering methods and procedures.
  • Prepare engineering designs and reports and direct preparation of field drawings.
  • Assist in cost estimation and detailed proposal development.
  • Plan and schedule activities for efficient utilization of resources.
  • Coordinate engineering aspects of the installation process.
  • Coordinate material and subcontractor procurement services.
  • Supervise and/or perform tests required to determine environmental conditions of soil and water.
  • Supervise and participate in post-installation survey.
  • Coordinate interference testing and bonding required with client and affected companies.
  • Ensure proper application of methods and procedures, modify as appropriate.
  • Perform economic evaluations of alternative methods of cathodic protection and corrosion control.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Electrical, Chemical, Materials Engineering or related field required.
  • PEng required.
  • AMPP / NACE CP Technician or Technologist Certification.
  • 5 years corrosion / cathodic protection experience.
  • Must have strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to mentor and lead junior team members.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good standing driver's abstract.
