CEDA is seeking a skilled Leak Repair Specialist to work in our highly skilled and continually expanding area of Leak Repair. This hourly position is located in Edmonton and may require travel to various locations.

This role is suitable for individuals who are mechanically inclined and enthusiastic about learning a new trade. They will work in a labour-intensive capacity, safely at heights up to 100 meters, and climb into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Start apprenticeship learning new skills every day such as seal leaks and repair piping systems and vessels, corrosion protection repair, line freeze, hot tap, control bolt, test and pipe isolations, and cold cutting
  • Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
  • Leave the job site in better condition than when arrived

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years' experience with a trade such as millwright, welder, pipefitter, carpenter
  • Familiarity of leak sealing is an asset but not required – we will train
  • Class 5 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years
  • Work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
