Job Title: Senior Corrosion Technologist

Corrpro Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Corrosion Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our corrosion control team, you will be responsible for planning and performing testing and field surveys for corrosion and corrosion protection systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and perform testing and field surveys for corrosion and corrosion protection systems
  • Work with senior staff to evaluate test results and install cathodic protection systems on various structures
  • Conduct field surveys to gather data for evaluation of corrosion and corrosion control
  • Execute pipeline and tank integrity testing
  • Perform testing of corrosion prevention systems, including cathodic protection, protective coatings, AC/DC interference, and corrosion monitoring
  • Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements, and rectifier data
  • Diagnose and develop recommended remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations
  • Write survey reports for review by an engineer
  • Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings
  • Sketch physical features of installation site for subsequent addition of detail
  • Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables
  • Assemble and analyze data for preparation of final client report, including recommendations
  • Prepare survey reports and final job reports for review
  • Assist manager in appraising employee performance and related matters
  • Act as direct interface with customer as needed
  • Assist in cost estimation and detailed proposal
Qualifications:
  • AMPP/NACE CP Technologist (CP III), CIP II, or working towards them
  • 10 years corrosion control experience, including training and managing technicians
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team and internal customer service skills required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, with ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
  • Valid Driver's License with good driver's abstract
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds/22 kg on a regular basis
  • Ability to travel overnight and work overtime
