About the Role

Arctic Alarm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Systems Technician to install, program, and maintain security systems for our clients in Yellowknife. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in all aspects of your work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and test security systems and equipment, utilizing technical knowledge and expertise to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide training to customers on the use and maintenance of security systems, ensuring they are comfortable and confident in their operation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine installation procedures and identify potential issues.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to resolve complex problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Work closely with the Service Coordinator and/or supervisor to coordinate projects, ensure quality of work, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong technical knowledge of security systems and equipment, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Basic organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
