Heavy Equipment TechnicianReporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Heavy Equipment Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our off-road, construction, and heavy equipment fleet. We are seeking experienced technicians who possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork.
Your Responsibilities:- Interpreting work orders and technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment issues
- Performing scheduled preventative maintenance services to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Diagnosing faults or malfunctions in construction equipment, utilizing your expertise to identify the root cause of problems
- Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems on trucks and trailers
- Testing repaired equipment for proper functionality and ensuring that all work meets manufacturers' specifications and regulatory requirements
- Completing service repair orders accurately and documenting all parts used in the repair process
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Proven experience working with off-road equipment
- Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn new software applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify underlying causes of technical issues
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call hours as required
