Heavy Equipment Technician

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Heavy Equipment Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our off-road, construction, and heavy equipment fleet. We are seeking experienced technicians who possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting work orders and technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment issues
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance services to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Diagnosing faults or malfunctions in construction equipment, utilizing your expertise to identify the root cause of problems
  • Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems on trucks and trailers
  • Testing repaired equipment for proper functionality and ensuring that all work meets manufacturers' specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Completing service repair orders accurately and documenting all parts used in the repair process
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Your Qualifications:
  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Proven experience working with off-road equipment
  • Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn new software applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify underlying causes of technical issues
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call hours as required
