We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team as a financial operations coordinator. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing various financial tasks, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This full-time role involves performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties, such as:

  • Calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, ensuring timely payments to employees;
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and establishing, maintaining, and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems;
  • Preparing tax returns and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance;
  • Providing support with financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A college diploma or equivalent in accounting or a related field;
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping, preferably in a similar industry;
  • Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and other relevant tools;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
