About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our team at OnX. As a key member of our IT Solutions Delivery team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions across our on-premise and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert in the deployment, integration, and configuration of DLP and CASB solutions to protect our company's data.
  • Investigate, design, and architect DLP and CASB controls to ensure the security and integrity of our data.
  • Map data protection administrative policies into data loss prevention technical controls across endpoint, email, and on-premise and cloud platforms.
  • Implement enterprise-wide DLP and CASB solutions to ensure seamless data protection.
  • Develop and tune DLP and CASB policies related to PCI-DSS standard and Canadian privacy regulations.
  • Implement automated responses to DLP and CASB incidents to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Assist in the development of security control frameworks and standards related to data protection.
  • Train IT Operations teams to operate, maintain, and support DLP and CASB solutions.
  • Act as a Tier 4 technical escalation contact for IT Operations teams for DLP and CASB issues.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Five (5) or more years direct hands-on experience deploying DLP and CASB solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian privacy regulations and the PCI-DSS standard.
  • Strong understanding of IT security frameworks including NIST, CIS, and OWASP.
  • Proven track record of securing data across multiple platforms.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust framework as it relates to data loss prevention.
