About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at 2458946 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
    • Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet business demands
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation and portioning staff
  • Staff Supervision and Development
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Hire and manage food service staff to ensure high-quality service
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Administrative and Financial Management
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and other key performance indicators
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates to inform business decisions
Working Conditions

The Shift Manager will work in a fast-paced food service environment, supervising a team of 5-10 staff members. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service management
  • Equivalent experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
