About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Commercial Counselor to join our team at Videotron Ltd. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in representing the company in civil litigation matters, including defamation and commercial disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Videotron Ltd. in civil litigation matters, including trials and appeals, before various courts and tribunals.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the company's management and employees on commercial and civil litigation matters.
  • Develop and implement strategies to resolve disputes and protect the company's interests.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including management, HR, and other departments, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the company's operations and provide recommendations for compliance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation.
  • Excellent proficiency in both English and French languages, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
