Sales and Marketing Representative

As a Trader (Sales & Marketing Representative) at Interfor, you will play a key role in implementing the company's business development strategy and contributing to the success of the team.
Key Accountabilities- Execute the Sales plan to maintain 'preferred supplier' status in the market.
- Contribute to prospecting and maintaining service to key customer categories to optimize sales volumes, pricing, product mix, shipping, and inventory.
- Work closely with Planning and Logistics to manage and execute sales strategy.
- Manage a core group of external customers.
- Negotiate customer orders to maximize returns on different product mixes.
- Gather and communicate key market information to the sales team.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide outstanding customer service to ensure repeat business.
- Manage order files under your responsibility.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A college diploma or university degree in marketing, economics, or business administration, or any combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the business community, the lumber industry, the sale of commodities, or financial products.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written), bilingualism in French is an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and relevant sales system technology.
- A valid driver's license and availability to travel on an occasional basis.
- A customer-oriented approach, listening, and communication skills.
- Negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain business relationships based on respect.
- Planning, organization, and agility.
- A team player with the ability to concentrate in a fast-paced and changing business environment.
