About the Role

This position is a critical component of MCAP's mortgage servicing operations, responsible for making informed decisions to prevent foreclosure and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Loan Review and Analysis
  • Assess loan files referred from Collections to determine the feasibility of special payment arrangements
  • Review policies and procedures for lenders and mortgage insurers to ensure compliance
  • Identify potential loan restructure or payment assistance solutions
Data Collection and Verification
  • Conduct thorough interviews with homeowners to gather additional information
  • Investigate and analyze credit reports, property valuations, and title searches
  • Prepare analysis worksheets to assess data and identify potential solutions
Restructure Solution Development
  • Verify information on analysis worksheets and credit reports to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure solutions meet MCAP, lender, and insurer guidelines
  • Document and update systems to support recommendations for approval
Homeowner Communication and Support
  • Respond to homeowner inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide solutions that meet homeowner needs and offer options for informed decision-making
  • Negotiate on behalf of MCAP, lenders, insurers, and homeowners
Recommendation and Approval
  • Prepare analysis and recommendations for manager approval or decline
  • Prepare recommendations for mortgage insurers or lenders as needed
Loan Restructure Processing
  • Post entries to capitalize interest, re-amortize loans, and recalculate principal and interest portions
  • Set up loan restructure fees for collection from homeowners
  • Send notifications to homeowners outlining changes to loan terms and new amortization schedules
Team Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
  • Assist and educate team members on restructure options and best practices
  • Communicate knowledge and suggestions to managers for business improvement
  • Update business procedures to meet changing requirements
