Advanced Care Paramedic

The Alberta Health Services EMS is seeking an Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team as a Mobile Integrated Healthcare Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care and providing emergency medical services in a community setting. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, utilizing your clinical skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care and provide emergency medical services in a community setting
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Develop and implement care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services
Requirements:
- Current registration as an Advanced Care Paramedic with the Alberta College of Paramedics
- Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider certification
- Valid class 4 Alberta Operator License or equivalent
- Five (5) year driver abstract current within six (6) months with no more than six (6) demerits
- Proof of successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a community health or urgent care setting
- Leadership experience
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team
